Sensics Introduces the xSight Lightweight, Panoramic, High-Resolution HMD
New head-mounted display delivers previously-unattainable performance at 350 grams, 123 degrees field of view and HD 1080 resolution
Baltimore, MD – Jan 13th, 2009 – Sensics, Inc., the leader in panoramic, high-resolution head-mounted displays, today announced the xSight™ head-mounted displays, a new product line that raises the bar for comfort, immersion and resolution.
The xSight incorporates the patented Sensics display technology, allowing both wide field of view and high-resolution, in a new “ski goggle” design that is exceptionally lightweight, low-profile, comfortable and easy to use. Accepting either single or dual digital video inputs, the xSight is compatible with practically any video signal as well as with many motion trackers, eye trackers and video cameras.
Key features include:
- Panoramic field of view, up to 123°, provides exceptional situational awareness, active peripheral vision and enhanced realism.
- High resolution: accepts video signals up to 1920x1200 pixels per eye in various 3D and non-3D video modes.
- A lightweight (350g), low-profile design that is quick and easy to wear, adjust and take off.
